In November 2020, a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of the Residences on Main, a $30-million permanent supportive housing project from co-developers L.A. Family Housing and the Coalition for Responsible Community Development.

The apartment complex, located at the southwest corner of 69th and Main Streets, consists of a four-story building featuring 50 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, which are reserved for chronically homeless Angelenos, transition-aged youth, and families.

According to a listing on the City of Los Angeles' Affordable and Accessible Housing Registry, the apartments at the Residences on Main will cater to renters earning between 30 and 50 percent of the area median income.

Y&M Architects designed the apartment complex, which is composed of three floors of wood-frame construction above a single level of concrete.  In addition to housing, the project includes community rooms, a courtyard, a garden, and a 25-car garage.

L.A. Family Housing, one of the project's developers, is also behind similar supportive housing developments planned and under construction in North Hills and Lake View Terrace.

The other partner, the Coalition for Responsible Community Development, is planning two additional supportive housing projects a block north at the intersection of 68th and Main Streets.
